Compost bin in September

The snake / slow worm is still in the compost bin – I keep catching glimpses of its tail before it disappears.  I’ve had a quick google and I’m now thinking that it is a slow worm – it is far too light to be a UK snake.

      1. Is it actual wool or a man made version?
I don’t see why it wouldn’t break down in a compost bin if it was natural. But you may also want to ask if they treat it in any way!
