Would anyone like some sea holly? So far, my seedlings have done rather better than I’d expected, although I may still lose some to the BASTARD slugs. My gardener accepted my offer of a couple of plants but he may have been being polite.
My son and I had a nice time repotting the remaining plants (I used the little pots I had left over from the herb haul). He has learnt how to get the seedlings out without damaging the roots – scoop right underneath and lift the compost up.
A few are getting rather leggy so I’ve taken them out the cold frame in the hope that they bulk up a bit (and get a bit hardier). Plus this way, they get the benefit of the rain.
I hope that soon enough they will look like this.
