I absolutely love the broom I have in my front garden here. It’s a fairly unobtrusive plant most of the year but when it flowers its spectacular.
The colour reminds me a little of Forsythia, except those are actual TREES and need proper pruning.
The only drawback to broom is that the plant is so tough, you can’t cut it back with secateurs. For some reason. I’d thought my secateurs must be blunt but no – it’s just that the plant is really tough.
