A great cycle route

I don’t like cycling in London.  I know a lot of people do it but it terrifies me – I am permanently convinced that I am seconds away from being run over.  In fact, I don’t much like riding on roads, although we do when we’re in the IoW (my son wears a fluorescent jacket and helmet – and I refuse to go on any roads that have buses on them).

One great cycle route is the one from Freshwater to Yarmouth.  My goodness, it was muddy (we were all completely covered in mud – I ended up putting my trainers in the washing machine) but it was AWESOME.  We stopped on the way back at this cafe that used to be the railway station back in the day.

They still have the platform. Tell your children not to fall off it

I was a bit saddle sore the next day but it did loads for my step count.  Must have been bumpy.  My son only fell off his bike three times (twice in deep mud) which is excellent progress.
