Skiing and amaryllis

Yesterday, my nanny took my daughter to meet Rylan off the X Factor and I took my son to an appointment in Hampstead then drove him and his friend to their ski lesson in Hemel Hempstead.  I don’t have much to say about that except that we were all incredibly tired by the time we got home and I am incredibly shit at putting ski boots on small children.  Seriously, there are times when I am an imposter of a mother and this is one of them.

It has reminded me a bit that I really need to go through all the ski gear and work out what we still need to get.  I have also just washed my salopettes (which used to be my husband’s but don’t fit him any more).

Separately, my kids’ amaryllis bulbs have flowered and are looking rather nice.  My husband’s mum got them one each in a pot for Christmas – I think we were meant to wait until later in the year but our house must be quite warm because they had already started by the time we packed up the car.  My son’s is red and my daughter’s is orangey pink.
