For lunch, we went to the Waterfront. This is a nice place – the food is pretty good (if sometimes variable) and the staff are really kind to my children. Which is all I really require. They also have a great view of the sea (I think better in winter than in summer but then I do like a bit of sea spray).
Now, almost as soon as we got there, my daughter threw her apple juice all over herself so we had to mop it up and take her trousers off. The kind lady behind the bar came up to tell me which radiators were hottest so I could hang them up. This was much appreciated.
They often have lovely seafood. I had the mussels and my daughter had the crab cake.
The kids had fantastic puddings.
