Last night we went to Trullo. This is a smart Italian place, just off Highbury Corner. Giles Coren once wrote that “I’ve been twice in the past three days, and I’m going back on Friday. I may review it again next week. I may not bother going anywhere ever again”.
To start I had the pigs ears, my husband and I shared a plate of tagliarini with clams and then we had the sirloin and the mackerel – we each ate half and swapped. B and M had the pigs ears and seabass carpaccio to start, also shared a plate of tagliarini and then had the sirloin and the lamb. It was all extremely delicious.
We also found an Italian white wine that my husband actually likes – he usually absolutely hates all Italian whites so this is a rare and precious find.
