The Old Parr’s Head

Before, we moved to Islington (over ten years ago now), my husband’s favourite pub was the Old Parr’s Head.  They had fantastic beer, a late licence, a DJ and the decor was awesome.  He was so happy that we’d moved so close to it.  Then, after about a month, it closed down and became a Jigsaw – a shop that he considers almost entirely pointless.

From time to time, he would suggest holding a sit in and demanding that the women’s clothes shop turn back into his favourite pub.  Clearly, he didn’t actually do this and, to be fair, there are quite a few nice pubs in Islington.

Yesterday, he went out for lunch with a friend and didn’t come back until 6:30pm.  I don’t know exactly what they were doing – boozing in Mayfair and Soho, apparently.  I hope they found a nice pub to do it in.
