Today is meant to be something called Black Friday. I am still not convinced that this is a real thing – as we are in the UK, we don’t celebrate Thanksgiving so the day after Thanksgiving isn’t a “thing” for us. I remember a couple of years ago, when people started referring to Black Friday on the telly, everyone went “Whaaat?” – then a load of people got really badly trampled in the Primark (a seriously cheap shop) in Oxford Street. Perhaps that was what made it a “thing”.
So far, I have avoided buying anything for Black Friday. However, I have ordered some presents for our nieces and nephew. Plus something for my son. But none of this stuff was in the sale so doesn’t count as Black Friday shopping.
