From time to time, I put “nice” photos on here. By “nice”, I mean taken with an actual, proper camera, not with my iPhone.
My husband has a lot of fancy camera equipment, including a smart Canon and some MASSIVE lenses. He almost never uses his camera though, as it is so completely massive, it’s a nuisance to take out.
My camera is a Fujifilm X10 – it was recommended by a friend whose camera equipment is even fancier than my husband’s. It meets all my requirements – small enough to fit in my handbag or rucksack, has a zoom lens, easy to use and take lovely photos. It ISN’T very good at taking pictures of moving
children objects and is not all that great once it gets dark – but I think most cameras are useless in the dark unless you have a MASSIVE flash. Realistically, once the light isn’t very good, I end up using my iPhone.
To be honest, I still don’t know how all the controls work – I just leave it on EXR and it seems okay.
I download and edit photos using the iPhoto program on my Mac – Fuji also include one with the camera but it really isn’t all that user friendly.
If you want to take amazing photos on safari, don’t get this. However, if you want to take nice photos of your kids at the park, then I think this is super.
