Science Museum

Yesterday morning, we went to the Science Museum (I was tired but realistically we have to do something with the kids or they start going loopy).

A lot of new stuff has opened up.  We spent a lot of time on the third floor looking at the old planes.  My son had asked if we could go back to the Imperial War Museum in Duxford, you see, and this was a nice compromise.

Just past this bit, there is an area called Atmosphere, which shows a bit about how scientists find out the rate of climate change.

They have this bit on the floor which changes over time (I think it’s to show changes in air pressure but to be honest I was watching my daughter so I wasn’t paying masses of attention).  It formed an island in the middle of a blue sea so my son, daughter and I all sat on the island on the floor.  I don’t think anyone minded.

We had a nice lunch there – although really expensive.  Some people came into the canteen with picnics and got made to leave by the canteen manager.
