Running along the Canal

This afternoon, I went for a run somewhere I don’t usually run – Regent’s Canal.  I needed to pick up a parcel, you see, and the collection office is just by the canal.

It meant that my run was a bit more difficult than usual – I ended up running along the New North Road (busy) and then cutting through to Packington Street, crossing the canal and then running along the canal itself.  I hadn’t realised how much I depend on my usual route to keep going.  However, I enjoyed the novelty.

I must admit, I was slightly paranoid that someone would jump out and push me into the canal (a few cyclists lost their bikes this way a few years ago).  Thankfully, this didn’t happen.
