A cup (according to the measurement translator on my phone) is 15.8 tablespoons or 237 ml. This is a bit of a faff to measure out, particularly if a recipe calls for more than one cup.
Until recently, I avoided any recipes that required cups (in fact, the thought would actually make me a bit panic-y) but then I acquired these:
I think I bought them from Amazon but honestly can’t remember – I do think I was looking for a set for a little while before I gave up and ordered them online. Anyway, if you want to try out some American recipes, a set of measuring cups is a useful. thing to have.
