Today I have a hangover. Last night we went out for a beer at the Tap Room on Upper Street, and then dinner at Antonio’s, with my brother, his best man and my parents. The Tap Room has an outside space at the back (which not many people seem to know about so you can SIT DOWN) where the old people can smoke. Young people don’t smoke any more, they just vape.
My mum wanted white wine at dinner but hardly drinks so I ended up finishing the bottle AND then having a couple of glasses of red. I had pasta with truffles (my brother did too so I didn’t feel too bad about the cost) which was delicious. They were full last night but usually have space in the week.
So today, I had a go at delimescaling my washing machine. I buy the delimescaling stuff at a Turkish shop on Upper Street. It is a tiny little place but has EVERYTHING. It is also ALWAYS OPEN. If I were more organised, I would order it from Ocado. But I am not.
I love my washing machine. Love it. Doing laundry counts as a chore but the machine does all the work. You don’t even need to stay with it, you can go and have a coffee and biscuit while it does your work for you. In this way, it totally beats the vacuum cleaner.
I show my appreciation by regularly delimescaling it. We’ve had the machine for ten years so it’s worked so far. I DO need to clean out the filter but I can’t get the flappy thing at the bottom left hand side open to do it.
